2017 To Be Biggest Year Yet For Fight To End Cancer

Tickets to FTEC 2017 are selling out fast, in fact they’re already around 85% sold out!

The Fight To End Cancer is not just one event, it is a year long – many would say lifelong – fundraising mission that is celebrated each year in a monumental way.  On the night of the gala event, a group of white-collar working men and women, with no prior competitive boxing experience, fight it out on stage.  This fully licensed, amateur boxing match, is to raise money and awareness for cancer research.  The event is preceded by eight gruelling months of training and fundraising on the part of the fight team.   There is also year long preparation by everyone involved in FTEC, which includes close to 200 volunteers and staff members!

The 2017 Fight To End Cancer gala will be held at Old Mill Toronto on Saturday May 27th.  This will be the 6th annual gala brought to you by our presenting partners Landscape Plus and Combustion, and it’s by far the biggest event we have held yet!  We are excited that our master of ceremonies for the evening is none other than Global News’ own Angie Seth.  Angie is the weekend anchor for Global News at 6pm and 11pm.

Sam Krystantos (FTEC2016 Fighter) was one of the most talked about walkouts of the Fight To End Cancer 2016 gala event. With 10 fighters, brought to you by 10 different sponsors, we look forward to a night full of entertainment and top-notch boxing!

The gala is a major part of the Fight To End Cancer, but it is not the only exciting event we have planned.  We will be hosting our official FTEC2017 Media Day Weigh-In on Thursday May 18th, on King West at Lavelle Rooftop Lounge.  The media event is attended by the 2017 fight team and many notable, exciting VIPs.

Interested in getting involved?

There are tons of unique ways to contribute to FTEC, and no contribution is too small!  We are currently looking for volunteers for any of our upcoming events.  We are also looking for donation items for our silent auction, live auction and raffle auction.  Anything you wish to contribute you can drop off at Kingsway Boxing Club or email support@fighttoendcancer.com.
