“We sang, danced, shared stories, told jokes, raffled away loads of prizes, enjoyed pizza and refreshments, and had many belly-laughs together. It was a magical evening! We hope to build on these cherished memories in support of the FTEC campaign and look forward to hosting the 3rd Grafton’s Got Talent Night next year! We hope that you will be able to join us.
There was a terrific turnout of family, friends, and colleagues. Proceeds raised from this event was an impressive $2100, thanks to the generosity and support of everyone!
Special thanks goes to Ed Portillo, Store Manager of Kingsport, for serving as our Emceee. Enrico Galante, our Canada’s #1 Saxophonist, co-chair, sound engineer for this event entertained us with his soulful sounds of sax as our lead performing artist. Huge thanks as well to our celebrity performer, Dick Joiner, a veteran of theatre and cabaret, a multi-faceted entertainer who performs in venues throughout North America, Europe, South and Central America and Australia. We feel honoured that our guest artists came out to support the Grafton’s Got Talent Night-FTEC campaign with a lot of love to share and huge hearts!”

Dick Joiner, international entertainer and Fight To End Cancer 2013 Emcee, wowed the crowd performing magic that still has the guests perplexed.
Grafton Apparel head office staff pulled together to support this event with generous donations for giveaway prizes, awesome marketing campaign and promoting, as well as event planning and set-up. Special thanks goes to head office staff: Erika from the Senior HO team, Leni and the Marketing team, Maura and Sue from the HR Dept, as well as Luigi and the Buying team.
Though this evening’s main focus was about supporting a worthy cause (FTEC) and inspiring hope, it was much more than that—-the evening brought us together in community (our families, our friends and colleagues), forging new friendships, and creating a safe and welcoming space to share our talents. We were so musically inspired by our outstanding guest performers.
We would like to thank all of our talent show performers – Varun (Michael Jackson Dance), Massimo (Song/Guitar-Performing Artist), Leron (Song/Guitar) , Chris (Vocal), Rosanna (Vocal), Ann (Vocal), Jim (Bird Calls), and Linda (Song/Guitar) – for entertaining us throughout the evening.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support Grafton’s Got Talent Night in support of the FTEC—for this very worthy cause!
