This year’s Fight To End Cancer (FTEC 2019) Fight Team had a 6:30 AM call at the Old Mill Toronto, on Sunday, February 24th.  While the rest of us were pulling the covers up and dreaming of an early spring with warm sunny days, our Fight Team was getting the full superstar treatment.  An incredible team of hair and makeup artists prepped our fighters for the Official 2019 Fight To End Cancer Promotional Campaign.  The transformation from fighters to models complimented by beautiful formal wear, courtesy of TIPTOP Tailors, now in its sixth year of partnership with FTEC.
This year’s shoot, conceptualized and shot by FTEC official photographer Spencer Wynn, can be summarized with a single word; warmth.  The FTEC2019 campaign photo has the fight team, head coach Virgil Barrow and Jennifer Huggins, FTEC Founder and driving force, transported to a mountain-top retreat.  The photo leaves the viewer with the feeling they have stolen a glance of an exclusive party held in a beautiful, remote location.

The Fight Team has been putting in the hard work at the gym which is required to ensure they have a great showing come fight night.  Outside the gym, the team is starting to stretch their legs, with Social Media posts, videos, media events and now a full-fledged, multi-location, multi-set photoshoot.  Although the team had an early start and a long day, the atmosphere was charged and supportive, as the camaraderie within the team infected everyone around them.
After a full morning at the Old Mill, the Fight Team and production crew migrated to Kingsway Boxing Club, for lunch and an afternoon filled with more photos and videos.  Shedding their formal wear for the more familiar training gear provided by official Fight Team sponsor Kimurawear, the Fight Team was back in familiar surroundings.
The output from the 12-hour day are a collection of stunning photos and inspiring videos, that will comprise the core of the promotional material for the Fight To End Cancer Gala Fundraiser, being held Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at the Old Mill Toronto, in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Fedele Rossi | View Full Bio

About The Fight To End Cancer
The Fight To End Cancer (FTEC) is a year round initiative carried out by ambassadors, sponsors and volunteers worldwide.  Over $1,000,000 has been donated to date since our inaugural year in 2012.  Funds raised by FTEC are donated directly to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.  Each year we celebrate the incredible hard work and dedication of our FTEC family with a black-tie charity boxing gala.  This gala showcases ten men and women who represent our Official Fight Team.  Our goal is to raise funds for cancer research year-round with the support of the local community and business owners.  Let’s make a difference now in the fight to end cancer for a long and successful future for everyone.  This is an event like no other and has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in Toronto. www.fighttoendcancer.com
