Join us this Friday, October 18, at The Old Mill Toronto for a showcase of top Olympic-style boxers from across Canada, all fighting to end cancer in our lifetime.

TORONTO, Thursday October 17, 2024 – This year’s lineup features FTEC Ambassador Davin Yu, who has raised $5,000, and FTEC Fighter Alumni Daniel Cellucci, now an open-class boxer who debuted at our 2014 gala. Also joining the roster is Idrissa Sanogo, who plays Lil’ Zay in The Fire Inside, a film about Claressa Shields that recently premiered at TIFF and is already gaining Oscar buzz.

Join us this Friday, October 18, at The Old Mill Toronto for an unforgettable evening, as these fighters take the ring to help us end cancer in our lifetime!

After more than a decade of hosting the Fight To End Cancer black-tie gala—raising nearly $3 million for The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre—we are excited to introduce Friday Night Fights, our newest event that expands our reach.

The spotlight, once reserved for corporate fighters, now highlights amateur boxers through this exciting series. Hosted by The Old Mill Toronto, the event will offer thrilling boxing matches in a classy but casual cocktail setting, with proceeds supporting cancer research. A special thanks to our presenting partners, Grafton Apparel and Landscape Plus LTD, whose generous support helps make our year-round initiatives, including this event, possible.

Friday Night Fights debuted in 2017 at the Gentlemen’s Expo and, due to its success, is returning to build momentum for the FTEC2025 Gala on May 31, 2025.

About The Fight To End Cancer
The Fight To End Cancer (FTEC) is a year-round initiative driven by ambassadors, sponsors, and volunteers worldwide. Since our inception in 2012, we have donated nearly $3 million to the cause. Funds raised by FTEC go directly to the GTX Program at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Each year, we honour the hard work and dedication of our FTEC family through alternating events: a black-tie charity boxing gala and our newest initiative, The Friday Night Fights ‘To End Cancer’. Our mission is to raise funds for cancer research year-round with the support of the local community and business owners. Together, we will end cancer in our lifetime.
