By January 25, 2018January 6th, 2022No Comments

The 2018 Fight Team is poised to make FTEC history.  Their collective goal is to break the $1 million dollar mark in total contributions raised by FTEC in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.  Each one of this year’s fighters comes with uniquely personal motivation, but they all share one common goal:  to end cancer in our lifetime.  Use the link below to get to know the individual team members better and support them in their Fight To End Cancer!
Defeat Is NOT An Option

Help the #FTEC2018 Fight Team reach their goal of $1 million dollars before Fight Night!

Tyler Smith comes from a family of fighters.  His grandfather dedicated his life to protecting others as a firefighter, and Tyler’s uncle is currently fighting an ongoing battle with cancer.  Tyler decided it was his turn to support all those in need, by pledging to be a 2018 FTEC Fighter.  Tyler’s vision as a fighter is reflected in his own poignant call to arms:  “Why are we all here if we can’t support and fight for each others’ right to have better lives?”

“We’ve all been affected by cancer through our closest friends and families.   It’s important that we all take a step back and realize how precious each day is.  I want to give back and raise money for all those affected by cancer.  Follow my journey and join me in the fight to end Cancer.  I’m not doing this for me, I am doing it for all of you.

I am participating in the 7th annual Fight To End Cancer in support of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.  I am raising research dollars with a vision of reaching a goal we all share – To Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime!

Please sponsor me and support my hard work, but more importantly, make a difference in cancer research that will help people locally, as well as many others globally.  There is strength in numbers and we can all do our part in this fight!

The Princess Margaret is one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world – when we train scientists and researchers at The Princess Margaret, they share and train colleagues all over the world.

With your help, I hope to reach my fundraising goal and make a difference. “

Founded in 2011, the Fight To End Cancer has donated over $750,000.00, in support of cancer research, with proceeds going directly to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
The year-long fundraising efforts of the Fight To End Cancer are celebrated each year in an event like no other.  Featuring a new group of white-collar men and women, with no prior boxing experience, Fight To End Cancer’s annual black tie gala concludes months of their intense training, in a sanctioned Olympic-style boxing event.
Fight To End Cancer has quickly grown to become a premium fundraiser and showcases these brave individuals, as they lace up their gloves and step into our ring to help knock out cancer.
