As a senior engineer specializing in high-tech environmental remediation, Gavin Grant is acutely aware of the power of research and technology. Gavin has watched and supported the Fight to End Cancer for several years and decided to join the FTEC 2018 team with the ambitious goal of personally raising $30,000 for critical cancer research. In Gavin’s own words: It’s time to do the real work of helping to stop this disease.
“My mother-in-law recently fought and beat leukemia. One of my oldest and dearest friends has battled cancer multiple times. They faced this epic challenge with bravery, courage and strength, and won – with the support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. This organization does incredible work every day.
I’ve watched and supported the FTEC from arm’s length for several years but I’ve realized that it’s time for me to step up and get in the ring. I have always been relatively healthy, so I’m in a position where I can fight to make a difference, since so many people spend each and every moment fighting for their lives. It’s the least I can do.
I am participating in the 7th annual Fight To End Cancer in support of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. I am raising research dollars with a vision of reaching a goal we all share – To Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime! “

ABOUT FIGHT TO END CANCER
Founded in 2011, the Fight To End Cancer has donated over $750,000.00, in support of cancer research, with proceeds going directly to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
The year-long fundraising efforts of the Fight To End Cancer are celebrated each year in an event like no other. Featuring a new group of white-collar men and women, with no prior boxing experience, Fight To End Cancer’s annual black tie gala concludes months of their intense training, in a sanctioned Olympic-style boxing event.
Fight To End Cancer has quickly grown to become a premium fundraiser and showcases these brave individuals, as they lace up their gloves and step into our ring to help knock out cancer.
