Sunny We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to one of our youngest fighters on the card, Sunny Thind.
Satwinder (Sunny) Thind is a 17 year old, 75KG amateur boxer from Brampton Ontario.  He boxes under the tutelage of Head Coach and club owner, Ajaz Khan, at King of the Ring Boxing Club in Brampton ON.  Sunny is 6’7” so he naturally gravitated to basketball as a young man, but found what he really enjoyed was boxing his brother and cousins with a pair of found gloves in his uncle’s basement.  Sunny felt a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment that basketball failed to bring.  After winning more than his fair share of basement matches he toured a number of local boxing and MMA gyms before landing at King of the Ring.  He enjoyed ‘the energy and the vibe’ at King of the Ring and was positively impacted by the encouragement of coaches Ajaz Khan and former National Champion, Danial Khan.
Sunny has only been boxing for two years, however, his natural talent, granite chin and immense passion for the sport earned him a National Title at 16 years of age, in his first year of boxing.  He won a Commonwealth Youth Games Bronze Medal at 17 years of age, only his second year of boxing.
Sunny is a very active boxer, having already accumulated over 25 amateur bouts.  He concerns himself largely with building his experience and skill level, as he focuses on qualifying for the 2020 Olympics.
Sunny and his family have not personally battled cancer, however, he believes in supporting an excellent cause, even if it means facing his most arduous opponent, in The Fight to End Cancer.

We can’t wait to showcase the best of boxing at the Friday Night ‘Fights To End Cancer’.  Huge thank you to The Gentlemen’s Expo (TGE) for joining us in the Fight To End Cancer!  Learn more about what this cause means to TGE2017 Info/Donate Now
