FTEC2017 FEATURED FIGHTER | SEBASTIAN SALOLE

Leading up to Fight Night, we will be featuring one of the incredible men and women who have joined the Fight to End Cancer, in support of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Meet our #FeaturedFighter, out of the Blue Corner, Sebastian Salole

Just over a month out from FIGHT NIGHT, we are putting the spotlight on the incredible guys and gals of #FTEC2017, starting with our Bout 3 Fighter Sebatstian ‘The Underdog’ Salole. Sebastian is a father of two little girls and celebrated his 40th birthday this year.

“As a father of 2 young children, the very idea of one of them being diagnosed with cancer is scary.  No child or family should have to deal with it.  A friend of mine competed in FTEC 2015 and her reflection on the entire process inspired me.”

Sebastian is a Segment Producer for Bell Media and spends his days conceiving, planning and executing content for the company.  We asked Sebastian about his opponent, Andrew and he has this to say:

“For a guy who works in digital marketing it was surprising to learn he has no digital footprint.  What’s he trying to hide?  I never see him during the week at class?  How much do we really know about him?  Is his name actually Andrew?  With my luck he’s probably ex-special forces…”

With months of training behind him and only weeks ahead, Sebastian is putting everything he has into his time at Kingsway Boxing Club. He has set a personal fundraising goal of $10, 000 for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and needs your help to reach his goal before fight night!  Donate towards Sebastian’s fight HERE.

Sebastian is studying hard in preparation for fight night on May 27.

Who are you dedicating your fight to?

“They say it takes a village to raise children and Susan [Hilton], my mother-in-law, makes up a large part of that village.  She is a loving and caring Grandma who is always there to lend a helping hand.  This strong lady has been diagnosed with cancer 3 times but kicked its butt each time”

How is your training going so far? Any surprises?

“I love the cardio classes.  The biggest surprise is how hard the technical part is.  I hope the light goes on soon.”

How do you see the fight going?

“My biggest advantage is the fact that I don’t have to lose any weight.  I see our fight being even for the first round then Andrew will probably collapse in the second due to malnutrition.”

Can’t make it to the gala? Join us at BRAZEN HEAD for our BRING THE BEATS LIVE-TO-AIR PARTY and catch all the fights live on May 27th.
