We’re Fighting To Support World-Class Cancer Research

Established in 2011, our gala event spotlights a new group of white-collar men and women stepping into the ring for the first time. Meanwhile, our corporate event, Friday Night Fights To End Cancer, presents amateur athletes in fierce competition. Both events offer an authentic display of Olympic-style boxing, the result of intense training and dedicated fundraising efforts. To date, our initiatives have raised nearly $3 million to advance cancer research, with all proceeds benefiting the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Fight To End Cancer has one core mission: to end cancer. For us, there is no other option. Raising funds is one major component of our work, but initiating conversation and taking action are just as important.

Our motto is simple. Defeat Is NOT An Option.

It takes a team to step into the ring. The Fight To End Cancer would not be possible without our group of exceptional volunteers who lead every aspect of the planning, preparation, and execution of our annual boxing gala. Their passion and perseverance are what give FTEC the momentum to keep fighting.

About The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation at University Health Network raises funds for breakthrough research, exemplary teaching and compassionate care at Princess Margaret Hospital and its research arm, the Ontario Cancer Institute, which now includes The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute and The Campbell Family Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Our JOURNEY

It takes a whole community to raise over $1.5 million and counting. This is the journey of everyone who made it possible.

THE INSPIRATION

A close family friend was fighting cancer. She faced it with courage & positivity and was supported by a team. It was that fight that inspired this fight.

THE OLD MILL

We came back larger for our second event at the Old Mill. They welcomed us like family & we doubled out donations from year one.

AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

We launch the Ambassador Program to welcome more people to join the fight. Mariela Burkett, a cancer survivor, hosts a Survivor Bootcamp as the first ambassador event.

THE INAUGURAL EVENT

Gathering at Woodbine Racetrack, we raised $57,000 for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. What was meant as a one-time event, became so much more.

FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS

Members of the Canadian National Boxing Team who were impacted by cancer step in the ring for the first Friday Night Fights ‘To End Cancer’.

WEAR YOUR SUPPORT

Grafton Apparel launches the Wear Your Support campaign at all of their retail locations, donating 100% of proceeds from the sale of FTEC tie clips.
