Help the #FTEC2018 Fight Team reach their goal of $1 million dollars before Fight Night!

Matthew Seahra joined FTEC 2018 to fight for those who cannot.  Having recently lost his uncle to brain cancer, Matthew wants to carry on the spirit of generosity which his uncle so embodied.  The self-proclaimed Beast Master of IT looks forward to the grueling training required of an FTEC fighter, and has set a personal goal of raising $15,000 for cancer research.

“Unfortunately, members of my family have been touched by cancer.  My father was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, in 2013.  Thankfully, the doctors were able to have it removed and he has since been in remission. My uncle Harry, unfortunately lost his battle to cancer in July of 2016, after he was diagnosed with brain cancer.  My uncle was a remarkable man, who was incredibly gifted in math and science.  It was beyond difficult to see such a talented man lose his faculties to this debilitating disease.

Please sponsor me and support my hard work, but more importantly, make a difference in cancer research that will help people here locally as well as many others globally.  There is strength in numbers and we can all do our part in this fight!

The Princess Margaret is one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world – when we train scientists and researchers at The Princess Margaret, they share and train colleagues all over the world.

With your help, I hope to reach my fundraising goal and make a difference.

Thank you so much for your support!”

ABOUT FIGHT TO END CANCER

Founded in 2011, the Fight To End Cancer has donated over $750,000.00, in support of cancer research, with proceeds going directly to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
The year-long fundraising efforts of the Fight To End Cancer are celebrated each year in an event like no other. Featuring a new group of white-collar men and women, with no prior boxing experience, Fight To End Cancer’s annual black tie gala concludes months of their intense training, in a sanctioned Olympic-style boxing event.
Fight To End Cancer has quickly grown to become a premium fundraiser and showcases these brave individuals, as they lace up their gloves and step into our ring to help knock out cancer.
