The Friday Night ‘Fights To End Cancer’ will feature Canada’s top boxers. Fighters in and outside of the ring, the line-up will showcase athletes literally fighting to end cancer.

Aden Djama is already proving that he belongs in the ring although he only has one fight under his belt. He recently won a silver medal in the bronze gloves tournament at the beginning of October 2017 and he is about to be showcased on one of the biggest amateur boxing shows Toronto has ever seen; The Friday Night Fights ‘To End Cancer’ at the Gentlemen’s Expo.
Aden has spent his short time in the sport of boxing, training at the iconic Top Glove Boxing Academy, in Sudbury. He attributes his early success to his coach Gordon Apolloni and is inspired by his team mates, which includes Jessica Brugess, who will be featured in bout 3 of the show.
“I started boxing because it was something I always wanted to do and I always looked up to the boxers. My club and coach mean a lot to me because without them, I don’t think I would be the person I am today.”

Aden is currently in grade 12 and plans on attending Laurentian University next year. He spends much of his day training for boxing, but in his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his friends, and playing basketball.

My mother passed away from breast cancer in 2011. The Fight To End Cancer means a lot to me because I feel like I could really help other families and people by fighting. I know my mother would be proud of me too!

The Gentlemen’s Expo brings you the absolute best in gentlemanly content, retailers, brands and experiences, every year! It’s the most fun you will have all year… while still being in public. We will be hosting sanctioned Olympic boxing matches to celebrate the biggest year yet, for the first time ever. The event proceeds will benefit the Fight To End Cancer, so you can enjoy a true gentleman’s sport, while raising funds for an incredible cause.
The fight card will feature some of Canada’s best boxers holding provincial and national titles. These fighters may be matched up to put on the ‘fight of the night’, but they are all fighting for one cause! Our Co-Main and Main Event fights will feature Mark Smither and Kassandra O’Reilly – they both fought on the inaugural Fight To End Cancer card in 2012. We will be starting the show off with a couple of novice boxers who are up and coming!
