Turning Technology Into Tribute: Streaming the Fight for a Cancer-Free Future
“At Live Media Inc., we believe that true impact begins with purpose—and few causes embody that more powerfully than Fight To End Cancer,” shares Carrie Darmody, a representative of Live Media. “Our decision to support this organization was inspired not only by the mission, but by the remarkable woman behind it: Jennifer Huggins.”
Led by founder Jennifer Huggins, The Fight To End Cancer is an annual charity event and year-round initiative that unites athletes, business leaders, and community members in support of cancer research through the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, one of the world’s top five cancer research centres. With high-energy boxing matches, compelling personal stories, and a powerful sense of unity, the organization raises critical funds to support life-saving treatments, advanced research, and ongoing patient care.
Live Media Inc. has proudly joined this mission by offering their live streaming and event production services pro bono, helping bring the event and its impact to audiences around the world. Their support includes a custom-branded PPV portal, registration and administration tools, and a full hosting and archiving solution—allowing viewers to engage with the event in real-time or on-demand, all while contributing to the cause.
A Cause Close to Home. In their words:
“This fight is personal for us,” Carrie explains. “Like many others, cancer has affected the lives of our team, our families, and our clients. Supporting this cause allows us to channel our professional capabilities into something deeply meaningful—standing with those affected, honoring those we’ve lost, and working toward a future where cancer no longer wins.”
“By offering our services pro bono, we’re not just contributing—we’re committing. Committing to Fight To End Cancer’s vision, to the strength of those who fight every day, and to the idea that together, we can make a difference.”
– Carrie Darmody
