Help The Gentlemen’s Expo and the 10 incredible boxers on the fight team raise $10,000 by fight night!
Almost half of all Canadians will develop cancer in their lifetime, and one-quarter of Canadians are expected to die of the disease.
The Fight to End Cancer, founded in 2011, is a year-long fundraising effort that culminates in a unique black-tie gala. Centred around 10 white collar men and woman, with no previous boxing experience, the gala represents the culmination of months of intense training for these brave fighters.
The Fight to End Cancer has raised over $700,000 since its inception, in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. This year saw another tremendous turnout for Fight Team tryouts in early September, with nearly 60 applicants. The coaches are busy pouring over all of the would-be fighters and are expected to announce the 2018 Fight Team shortly. The team will then start their training leading up to the 2018 gala, scheduled for June 2, 2018 at The Old Mill in Toronto.
This year, the Fight to End Cancer has continued to expand its efforts. They will be partnering with The Gentlemen’s Expo to present the Friday Night Fights to End Cancer benefiting the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. This exciting event will not only give you the opportunity to watch some National Team/Tokyo 2020 Olympic contenders, but the co-main events will feature Mark Smither and Kassandra O’Reilly, both of whom fought in the inaugural Fight to End Cancer in 2012.
The Gentlemen’s Expo is an annual event showcasing the very best in men’s style, grooming, food and drink and is being held November 24th – 25th 2017 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre North Building.
