I will be spending the next 7 months training with 9 other ‘non-boxing professionals’ – and on June 2, 2018 I will be stepping into the ring to ‘literally’ fight to end cancer.
In June of 2016, my mother Iris Collins – one of the most vibrant, healthy, amazing and giving people I have ever known – was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and within 10 weeks she was gone. I am fighting for her – as well as for the countless others I know who have been impacted by this terrible disease.
Anyone who knows me knows that before this July I had never seen the inside of a gym. But if you are looking for me between now and next June, that’s likely where you’ll find me.
I am incredibly grateful for all of the support – I have a very lofty goal but know that together we can do it!
