Taking A Stand Against Cancer | Featuring DLA Piper (Canada) LLP
The Fight to End Cancer is so proud to have DLA Piper (Canada) LLP as a sponsor this year, along with recruiting a fighter to participate in the event.
Kim Hamill helps run the practice of two labour and employment lawyers at DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, and she’s stepping into the ring as our 2017 Co-Main Event. Kim is directing her personal fundraising dollars to pediatrics, because she feels that children have to fight harder to truly understand the depth of what a cancer diagnosis means. She wants them to know that she (along with many others) are out there fighting for them.
” In one form or another, we have all been affected by cancer. I feel privileged to be a part of this fight and know that the next seven months will be demanding, both physically and mentally. My fight pales in comparison to the real fight a person diagnosed with cancer faces every second, of every day. “
~ Kim Hamill | FTEC2017 Co-Main Event
DLA Piper wishes Kim the best in her personal journey as a fighter and as a supporter of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
” Every day people are doing amazing things to fight back against cancer. From the survivors who inspire us to those we lost whose memories drive us, from the patients fighting for their lives to those who take care of them, from doctors working on a cure to those who find different ways to support them, we are proud to stand in their corner as we all come together in the mission to knock out cancer. “
We welcome DLA Piper to the FTEC family! Good luck Kim!
