The Annual Fight To End Cancer Gala showcases a group of 10 charity boxers who dedicate the better part of their year to literally step into the ring to fight cancer. Now, in a revolutionary motion, our sponsors have found innovative ways to join the fight!
Raising upwards of $170,000.00 in direct donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, the 5th Annual Fight To End Cancer Gala was our most successful to date! In addition to pushing the direct financial support donated to the foundation past the half-million dollar mark, the FTEC family has grown to encompass the passion and dedication of the community that we are fighting for.

DONATE. INITIATE. PARTICIPATE.

With the help of our partners at Make It Happen Media, we launched the official Fight To End Cancer tagline. Through the support of our sponsors we were able to reach incredible heights of awareness and involvement. One of the most notable events took place inline with our gala on June 4th 2016. The ‘FTEC2016 Live-To-Air from Stratosphere’, was one of our boldest undertakings that saw the partnership of three official FTEC sponsors – Stratosphere Winebar and Gastrolounge, Off To Market Advertising (OTM) and AV Canada.

Hosted by FTEC 2014’s Dawn Ramsay-Brown (President of OTM), the Live-To-Air event quickly took on a life of it’s own within the bar setting at Stratosphere. Monitors surrounded the venue supplying a high-definition broadcast capturing every moment of the gala. A more casual atmosphere charged with the passion of many of the fighters fans present brought a new dynamic to the event. The crowd flowed from a buzz of light conversation to the cheers and taunts during the live fight broadcast. Fans eagerly supported their fighters and happily shared a drink with their rivals once the fight was over. While most were there to support a particular fighter, it was easy to see that everyone there was supporting the same great cause.

Most notable this year were the fans who came out to support Kyle Barlow and Jeff MacWilliams. There was no doubt these fighters had some serious backing in the room! Guests were also treated to an ongoing raffle during the evening. With larger prizes going to lucky ticket holders and smaller swag bags awarded through trivia questions, the crowd was quick to gather for all the night’s activities.
With all ticket sales, raffles and auctions going directly to charity, the FTEC2016 Live-To-Air from Stratosphere raised over $1500.00. If you are looking for an exciting way to enjoy the Fight to End Cancer next year, be sure get your tickets early to the Live-To-Air event.
