The reality of cancer has hit me hard in the past few years as several friends, family members and acquaintances have been diagnosed, and some have died, with this disease. Although it has been encouraging to hear stories about people that are overcoming cancer, there is still much research to be done to conquer it completely.
Those of us that have our health need to be thankful everyday. I have a history of sports and fitness, including a 5 day bike ride around Lake Ontario for cancer, riding solo at the Gears 24 hour Spin-a-thon for the Trillium cancer ward, and competing in Ironman Canada. To walk in a ring and face the biggest physical challenge in my life is my small contribution to bringing us one step closer to the cure.
I’m hoping that with my social and work connections, I can make a difference and raise money for the fight to end cancer.
Keep Up With The Fight!
